Day 24
So, some days ago, we talked about how your perspective of life affects your response and that if you want to change a particular aspect of your life, you need to change your perspective.
How do you see life? Some people say life is hard, some say it’s short, some say it’s to be enjoyed, some say it’s to be principled. What is life to you?
Recently, I started developing this habit of thanking God for very little, normal and insignificant things, even when things seem tough. I might not have enough money to “eat as I want”, but when I buy water to drink, I thank God after drinking because drinking water is important and in some villages, they don’t get clean water to drink. There are lots of bad news roaming around and it’s disheartening how things are in this country, but I choose to focus on the fact that there’s still fresh air to breathe in and the sky is still beautiful.
I know this is a bit awkward, but I have chosen to look at the beautiful things over the ugly. It has changed my life. It has changed how I see and receive life.
You need to focus on the good, so you can be more appreciative and see good even in bad times.
