Day 29
How does touching lives bring satisfaction, talk more of true satisfaction? Especially when you don’t feel up to it and you really need to focus on yourself.
The truth is, you’d never know, or be able to measure the level the satisfaction until you actually get that satisfaction.
Let’s take a look at Mother Teresa and the fact that she wasn’t like all these politicians that go around to give people money because they have surplus or because they want something in return. See, it’s not really about whether you feel up to it or about what you have; it’s about the lives. She had a purpose that was patterned according to the kind of heart she had. Imagine that woman with that kind of compassion for people decides to sit at home in her big house and focus on taking care of herself. She would never feel satisfied, because her heart would definitely be unhappy and she would have felt unfulfilled.
Your heart and spirit knows where it ought to be, you need to guide it to full satisfaction and fulfillment. If you’re not sure, let the HolySpirit be the guide He’s supposed to be to your life.
All you should know is that no matter the field or area you find yourself, there are always lives to touch. The ministry of reconciliation is never stale. Are you living up to it?
[All this is done by God, who through Christ changed us from enemies into his friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also. Here we are, then, speaking for Christ, as though God himself were making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf: let God change you from enemies into his friends!]
